WORKSHOPS

OPMI Business School has a successful Student Services program that guides students through the school and facilitates.

To enhance the success of the students' coursework or program of study, students may attend workshops focusing on life skills and work readiness preparation. The workshops are designed to empower students with useful information affecting all aspects of life. Students attending the workshop record their life experiences and job search activities in a journal.

The life skills workshops include, but are not limited to the following topics: self esteem and empowerment building, goal setting, life management (balancing family, work, and school), conflict resolution and time management.

The work readiness workshops cover three (3) primary topics: job search methods (skills assessment and inventory, career/vocational exploration, and networking strategies); job readiness techniques (resume preparation, cover letter writing, interviewing skills, and telephone approaches); and job retention skills (employer, expectations, professionalism, work habits, and ethics).
