English As A Second Language Program (800 Hours)

The curriculum is designed to enhance the communication skills of people whose native language is not English. The following individual ESL courses provide students with the skills necessary to obtain and keep jobs where clear articulation of English is essential.


ESL Starter (200 Hours):

The curriculum introduces the students to the basic structures through illustrated situations and variety of contexts and to enable the students to develop basic communication skills. The training enables the students to describe their daily activities, buy food and clothes make statements in the present, past and future. They can ask various questions, give directions, make reservations, and handle emergencies.


ESL Foundation (200 Hours):

The curriculum enables the students to share their personal experiences, talk about current issues, and make expressions.


Communicative ESL (200 Hours):
The curriculum enables the students to talk about the problems of a big city such as: housing, health care, juvenile delinquency, and using more advanced verb forms.


English Proficiency (200 Hours):
The curriculum encourages the students to focus on various Real world business-related, academically- focused issues such as: personal developments, career goals, environmental concerns, social relations, literary interest in order for them to be able to communicate with people in a natural way and to pass professional licensure or academic evaluation tests. The training helps students to build their confidence in using advanced grammatical structures.


Computerized Small Business Accounting (500 Hours)

     The curriculum is designed to provide students with the fundamentals of accounting as it relates to the various dimensions of business. It also prepares students to become familiar with both spreadsheet program and accounting software commonly used in offices or companies offering computerized accounting services.


     Furthermore, upon completion of this program, students are able to seek entry-level positions, namely: accounting clerk, bookkeeper, payroll clerk, and accounts payable/receivable clerk.

NCLEX-RN Test Preparation (180 Hours)

      This course provides the students with the nursing content tested on NCLEX-RN using various computer based practice exercises in addition to acquainting the students on the preparation for the NCLEX-RN and test-taking strategies.


Computerized Medical Office Management (900 Hours)

     The curriculum is designed to prepare students to become familiar with clinical assistant functions, and administrative and clerical skills related to the primary role of providing supportive health care services in a medical office or clinic. Furthermore, upon completion of this program, other job titles include: Medical Receptionist, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Lab Assistant, Medical Secretary, and medical Office Manager.


Business Office Practice & Technology (600 Hours)

     The curriculum provides students training to acquire satisfactory skills and demonstrate competency in computer operations. Upon completion of the program, the students are qualified for an entry-level to professional position in the field of their training.


      The curriculum also provides students with proper procedures for Microsoft Office 2007 applications such as: creating documents, workbooks, databases, and presentations suitable for course work, professional purposes and personal use. Also, it acquaints students with mouse actions and keyboard shortcuts needed to use Windows’ enhanced reliability and performance. The students will be able to function in entry-level positions such as: Word Processing Clerk, Data Entry Clerk, and Back Office Clerk.


Graphic Design & Presentation Skills (500 Hours)

      The course provides student knowledge and skills in the following software: Microsoft Powerpoint, Publisher, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. Based on the study of the software, the students will be able to utilize computer software as a tool to express their imagination and understanding of the world of work in a creative manner. The skills students acquire from this curriculum will be suitable for them to work in companies utilizing computers to create graphics. Upon completion of this course, the student will be ready for entry-level positions in areas such as layout, production and computer graphics.


GED Test Preparation: Key to Success (400 Hours)

       This course prepares students who did not finish their high school education or who finished their high school education in foreign cournties to get their high school diploma in a very effective way.


TOEFL Preparation (200 Hours)

      This course introduces and prepares students the proper techniques in TOEFL test taking in four sections: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
